These experiences are often explained separately: hypermobility, MCAS, dysautonomia, stress, or inflammation. But there is another way of looking at them. Many of the systems already working hardest in a hypermobile body rely on the exact same nutrients to function and recover, and one of the most critical among them is vitamin C.


Vitamin C is a nutrient your body spends continuously. Every day, it is used to build connective tissue, regulate inflammation, support the nervous system, and help you recover from the countless small stresses that come with simply being alive. For people whose bodies are already under greater physiological demand, that balance between supply and use matters far more than most people realise.


The Biological Vulnerability Behind the Demand


Humans are unusual among mammals because most animals produce vitamin C internally from glucose. We lost that ability during evolution, which means every molecule our body uses must come from external sources.
